Jeff was born and raised in Tustin and was hired as a Tustin Police Officer at age 20. Jeff served his community for 31 years and worked a variety of assignments including: Patrol, Detective, Field Training Officer, Gang Enforcement, Professional Standards, Canine Supervisor, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, Interim Chief and eventually retired as the Deputy Chief. Jeff is best known for his community engagement as he seemed to know everyone in the city and was popular in the community due to his roots and being “home grown.” Jeff’s favorite assignment was working as a founding member of the Gang Unit where he testified as an expert witness in gang crimes on over 50 occasions.
Jeff has been married to his wife Anne Marie for 32 years and they have two adult children. Jeff and Anne Marie have known each other since they met in junior high school in Tustin. Jeff just celebrated the birth of his first grandchild in April, 2025. Jeff is the co-founder of the Police Softball World Series which draws 80 law enforcement teams from over 30 states to Las Vegas, Nevada.
